.
Another day with Gab!

POP LIAO!
NO MORE SHAVING OF HEAD EVER AGAIN!

But he's still botak at the time being.
It was another off day for me and he is having his block leave.
We headed to Chinatown for something new! (Instead of town or movies. BLAH)

The shops selling commodities are to con tourists or too cheapstake. So, we walk wherever our legs wants to go. We end up at Buddha Tooth Relic Temple/Museum.

He hasn't been there before. So we decided to enter the place.
It's more of a museum and we enjoyed ourselves there.

1st Floor: Very high ceiling and big praying hall.

2nd and 3rd floor: Museum

At the 4th floor, which is where the what they called the "Buddha Tooth Relic" was placed. It's a long tooth and "protected" by 300kg of gold. The gold is like a small palace for the tooth and is very grand. The visitors and the gold / tooth were divided by a gigantic glass. They had a camera to zoom in into the tooth and screened it at a 40 inch LCD TV. The monk then described us what this is about. We can only see it about 5 meters away. The place is so holy and quiet.

5th floor: Roof terrace. One holy garden.

It's a very soothing place. After we step out of the temple, we felt so calm.
INHALE, EXHALE.

Then we dropped by Maxwell Food Center and he said "YOU MUST TRY THIS~!"

It's the FRY-YOURSELF-HUM-JIM-PENG at a ridiculous price of 6 for $1.

Just tell the auntie the flavour you want and they will throw the dough into the frying pot and you flip it yourself.

This stall has been operating for decades and there's this undle who is probably 80 year old, kneading the dough and concentrating very hard to do it. He's fingers are still flexible!

His (i supposed) daughter will take order and handle the transactions.

If you want to have a layer of sugar coat, dip it yourself and TADA!!!!!!

SEDAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hot, crispy, tasty.

It will not fail to satisfy your tastebuds!

Anyway, I'm not paid to advertise for them or whatsoever.

Then we went to Vivo and I can't remember what happened.

Oh ya. We smuggled Carls Junior into the cinema. :)

Block leave rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 more working days at Novotel. I don't want to leaveeeeeeeeeeeee~!

TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS in NOVOTEL
before I move to F&B in another hotel. I admit. I am somehow afraid of changing into a new environment. Even changing to another department within the hotel fears me and stresses me out.

I pray hard my 1 month of attachment in F&B is smooth sailing.

The first time we 5 (NYP trainees), dine together in the staff canteen was on first day of work. After 3 months, it was our second time to dine together in the staff canteen. It's hard for us to meet due to shift work and different break time. Everytime I see them, I will feel so warm. Anyone of them. :)The staff canteen is pink and pleasant :)

I cant wait to end attachment but I am sure I'm going to miss the Novotel peeps. Some of them.

One of the advantages in working in the hotel frontline is the gorgeous environment. I'm now transferred to Premier Lounge on the 24th floor and has a wonderful view of the Esplanade, Flyer, CBD, Singapore River, etc. If there isn't any backlight, you will be able to see in this photo.

What am I going to excel in the future? No hotel line please.

I'm really clueless with regards to my long-term career in the near future.

ARGHHHHHHHH~~~~~~~~~

06.06.09

It has been one month since we last officially went out due to his Tekong field camp and followed by confinement. ONE WHOLE MONTH. I don't know how I manage to get through it. But now, I believe in the idiom, "absence makes a heart grows fonder".

He booked out on 6 June 2009. It was a very important day. A very special day to both of us.

I had to plan everything for 6 June because he is in camp and cant make any plans or reservations or whatsoever. I don't mind planning because his plans are monotonous. HAH!

Things turned out as I planned except for the "sqt sqt". I placed tea lights and scented oil. It looked and smelled er.. tantalizing? Awesome awesome AWESOME! If only I can re-play whatever has happened. ROAR!

****************************************

In the evening, went to Dallas Boat Quay for dinner. Ambience was fairly romantic, window seat overlooking the river and the Court of Appeal (or is it the supreme court? the UFO one)and Asian Civilisation Museum. We chit chatted about everything. Time flies when I am with him because I realised we chatted and ate till the sky turn dark.

Food is yummy :)

*****************************************

Because it is still early before we proceeded to our next destination (which was unknown to him), we hang around boat quay and sat down to talk again :) We just have so many things to talk about. I know. (and he keeps farting.)

He wasn't intending to take a photo. Honestly.

*****************************************

NEXT STOP! INDOCHINE ORCHARD - Nude Restaurant.

"I didn't expect you to bring me here. Loud music and alcohol. I don't feel like drinking. I thought you will bring me to a quiet place where we can have time alone." he said.

I was somehow disappointed when he said that but MY MISSION HAS TO CONTINUE!

"Since we're here, seated, we'll just order some drinks and leave at 10pm."

When he can't wait to leave, he said, "Faster drink, we'll go and find other place."

I took another small sip to drag time and 3 seconds later, in the background, I could hear the live band, Cats in the Cradle's voice "We have a dedication,"

I grabbed Gab's arm and said "LISTEN."

Then he continued "from Eliza. Eliza, where are you?!"

I didn't expect the band to ask my wherabouts and I thought they will just read out and play the song.

I was extremely apprehensive and do not intend to get their attention. Gab gave me a HUH-What-happened-face and raised his hand like a student in Ms Soo's class. Everyone's attention turned to us. OMG!

Yes. I dedicated a song. :D I had no idea what song to dedicated until the night before (5 june), we were on the phone and randomly, he sang "fly me to the moon and let me play among the stars". I sang along and then asked "you like this song?" He said "Ya." and the song was dedicated to him that night (6 June).

Cats in the cradle said asked me a couple of questions in front of the entire audience and said so many things. I was really bashful.

We stayed awhile longer and I do not want to end the day just yet. Then he said "Let's go Orchard Tower and see ah gua."

Indeed, we went.

Most of the transvesite are short and very revealing and skinny and rather beautiful.
This was a last minute thing and I wore a sleeveless dress which is super short in length. (In comparison to my leg's length). I received a few weird stares because I believe they thought I'm one of the Transvesite. Remember my height? My transvesite height? :(

Soon enough, the day ended. I hate it when it ends. Especially when I will not be meeting him until next weekend. But this time, I can see him this Wednesday! POP LIAO! :D

6th of June 2009. Another day I wil never forget. :D

Happy First Year Anniversary, Botak :)
