Finally! It's going to be one month working in this hotel. 3 more months to go before I'll be attached to another hotel :)

Over here, people here are very friendly and take the initiative to socialise with you. Most of them. Even those I've never met, we'll at least smile when crossing each other's path. I'll be attached to the reception instead of the concierge in one week's time. I heard there's a lot of things to learn over at the reception. Currently, I'm still enjoying my days at the concierge, rotting and greeting guests most of the time.

My beautiful name tag.

23rd March 2009

It was a gathering with my colleagues and our plan was to go to a bar for some drinks. Instead, we had dinner at a restaurant and had little time left. Thus, we headed PLAN B.

At Manhanttan Fish Market :)That's Jesslyn!

Then Arthur and Clement acted camera shy..SO,

PLAN B: buy alcohol and sit by the Singapore River and chit chat :)

We tried so hard to open the bottle cap until Arthur recalled the science he learns in primary school. WARM AIR EXPANDS METAL.

and poof! The bottle cap is off. :D

HAH. We had a really fun time. It was a rare opportunity for us because our work schedule are very different and we already planned for the next outing! :D

25 MARCH 2009

I went for the WOW Party for the Earth Hour at my workplace. All departments participate in it... F&B, Front office, back of the house, etc.

The 3 Highest Rank managers gave short speech about the Earth Hour which our hotel is practicing this Saturday. BEST PART OF IT: Refreshments :D

Arthur and Jesslyn

Here's the two CLEMENTS.

It was the first time Clement Lee met another Clement. When he saw the name tag and realised it, he exclaimed in delight "EH? We have the same name! Let's take a photo together!" This is how this photo came about.

All the photos has Clement in it because it's his camera. Jesslyn's idea.

Arthur and Clement strikes a gay-pose.

Clement is 185cm. Arthur is 10 cm shorter. AND Irene is..........................

Here's the HIGHEST RANKED Manager of the Hotel. General Manager :D

Yeah. I got my payslip today. :D

I cried.
The tears were uncontrollable.

The curious case of Benjamin Buttons deserves all those awards in Oscar!

My sister is a spoiler. She told me the whole story line when I was halfway through the movie.
Awesome film. Must-watch film! My 3 hours is worthwhile after all!

__________________________

It's been 7 days ever since I officially started work.
I deplore work which requires me to stand for 7 hours.
I deplore the fact that my sole hurt so much due to constant standing. It's not because of the shoes.
I deplore shifts. It's either you start at 7am or end at 11pm. You either wake up at 5am or you'll reach home at 1am.
I deplore fuming guests. I know it's part of my work. But I don't like the fact I get shouted by stranger for nothing. It's part of my job. I know I have to face it. (Luckily my colleagues were there to save me from that bad tempered ang moh! :D )

Sometimes I wonder. Why did I choose this line?
Truthfully, I would rather sit on a chair in a office working from 9am to 5pm. I've always love my temp jobs as administrative assistant. It's okay. I shall persevere. Might consider a slight change of line after I graduate. Don't get worked up! I said "Might" .

Anyway, when I'm in my uniform and my hair bun up, fringe off my face, I don't look like a Chinese. Many of them asked if I'm local.

Here's some photos of us a few hours before we officially assigned to our individual department. Us in women's locker room while Arthur waited for us outside. HAH.

My eyes look small because their eyes are big.
Irene and Jesslyn!

During these few days, I ended work at 8pm and I strolled my way home and enjoy the surrounding. It look better in real life :D

Sometimes I feel like a street directory but in human form.

KL TRIP AFTER SO MANY YEARS! (25 feb - 28 feb 09)

DAY 1

I woke up at 6am and prepare for the long trip with full of excitement. I can still actually feel the excitement now! Well, I was rather disappointed that two of my other friends can't make it even after the tickets were purchased.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself.

On the super cosy double decker bus just like the Grassland express. :D
After 2 hours, we stopped by I think it's the Penang stopover where Narisa dropped her handphone into the toilet bowl. No. There wasn't any bowl. It's TOILET HOLE. It's vertical and once you drop something into the black hole, you cannot retrive it.
There go Narisa's handphone.
I could still remember that pink handphone of hers, many years back!

I LOVE CHICKEN WINGS.

Resume our journey after the 30 minutes break.................
FULL OF EXUBERANCE WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE HOTELLLLLLLLLLLL!At the front desk. Reminds me of Jesslyn. REMINDS ME OF WORK :(

Him carrying my bag :D

After check-in, LUNCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! HERE WE COMEEEEEEEE!!!!

Tony Romans (Western Restaurant)

This deep fried mushroom as side dish (bottom). SG$7 and super big portion! If only horny bear and white demon were there.

Super juicy and YUMMILICIOUS.

Shopped at the shopping center link to the hotel and he bought this bear made of beans and owned by Mr Bean. The first thing he did was to place it at the top of the lamp and we didn't touch it until the last day of our trip. Almost forgotten about it.

Night!
MALAYSIA'S CHINATOWN.

He bought a few bottles of alcohol to quench our thirst. :D VODKA!
Then he said "It's okay. You rest. I pour."
SHIOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKK.

DAY 2

Greedy Dickhead took all variety of food and forced me to finish.

Pancake, Sunny side up, Pastries, Potato, Turkey Ham, Omelette, Siew Mai, Porridge, Chapatti, you name it, they got it.

This is another hotel beside the hotel I'm staying. Very grand hotel. This humongous lion shines at night. It look so majestic at night! Reminds me of SIMBA.

This Friendster is a cafe.

After buying a random mango tank top at 10am, SUNWAY! HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HAH. His eyebrows like La bi xiao xin.

Him and his craps.

Despite his fear of heights, he tried all the slides with me :D Thank you Dickhead.

At night, we went to Times Square. BORING! Sunway is full of Europeans and Irans. I dont see any Singaporeans there.

After trying all the slides, we started playing water volleyball organised by one of the staff of Sunway Lagoon. We played with a few Irans and a few Malaysians. I really sucked at ball games even on land. Playing it on water is Mission Impossible. Yeah.

I embarrassed myself a little, had fun a little.

The rest embrassessed themselves a little and had a lot of fun.

At night, TO TIMES SQUARE!!!!!!!!!!

With the help of the concierge, we took the train and monorail. (THEY ARE DIFFERENT).

That's the train ticket!

To transfer the train to the monorail, you have to walk the distance of two traffic lights. I guess I should be thankful that the distance from Dhoby Ghaut Red line to the Purple line has air con and shelter. The people there vandalise the public property OPENLY.

Nothing much there. Too expensive, Too cheap. We were running out of money on the 2nd day of the trip. Holy ma ma. What's shopping without my Nets Card?! Shopping has never been this tough and unenjoyable.

At the Arcade :D

My bread superhero.

That's the indoor theme park in Times Square behind him :D

Went back to hotel and watched MOVIEEEEEEEE!
MY VIRGIN EXPERIENCE IN MALAYSIA'S CINEMA!

Their cinema do not offer movies which starts on midnight. The latest show is at 11:55pm. Yeap. We caught it. PINK PANTHER 2.

It cost RM8 per ticket which is about SG$3 +++.

The seats aren't as comfortable as Singapore's cinema but the show is hilarious. :D

was intending to club after movie but I was totally exhausted. it's 2am! You know I usually sleep at 11pm.

DAY 3

SUNWAY AGAIN! We have 4 tics to Sunway because my friend and her boyfriend couldn't make it even after the Tics were bought.

Koi Fish right under my feet!

There's a waterfall behind us! But not captured. Tsk .

When I took his photo below, he said "I know. You want to blog this photo and say I'm afraid of heights right?"

BINGO, YOU SHITFACE.

He's afraid of heights.

This is what we can see from this ride :D Thus, I can only play those rides without heights. I played some rides alone with other strangers when he said "I'm willing to humiliate myself and carry your handbag while you go up the Pirate Ship. This "Private Revenge" hung me 180 degrees and don't-know-how-many meters above the ground.
HOLY MA MA! IT WAS AWESOMEEEEEEE!

Another ride.

KEEP THIS SHORT.
We had a nap before going to the club adjacent to the hotel at 11pm :)

HAH. He said "Can I conceal my scratch on my face?" Then he took my compact powder.

I really appreciate he doesnt club. Clubber guys are up to no good. I mean 80% of them at least.

So we drank a bit and waited for the dance floor to be filled. There was a group of ang moh and a few locals dancing in a circle. We waited.

It's going to be midnight! AND that same group of ang moh and a few locals dancing in a circle.

At midnight, another group of maybe 4 people joined the big big dance floor.

omg. It's Friday Night. The number of visitors is PATHETIC.

Gab said : Go join the dance floor. You know I don't club or dance.

I hesitated and joined the only group of people on the dance floor. They're very friendly. A group of Australians who came to KL for 4 months to study at a college. Most of them are girls. 2 guys. One is not bad looking. He told me Singapore is a very clean country. YAY.

There are a few horny guys and one of the Australian girls, Amanda (OMG! I still remember her name!) told me to come over to her side because the horny boy is targeting almost every girl. A sweet blond.

Sorry Gab to make you wait.

DAY 4

It was love at first sight when he saw this beanie bear on Day 1.

He looks at it,

He talks to it,

He bonds with it.

Before checking out of the hotel, we had out last shopping at Pyramid Shopping Center. I think that's the name. Ice skaters! WOOOSH!
I'll always remember the first time I ice-skated with my poly classmates. I was trying my best to balance then this 6 year ol boy ZOOOMS pass me. Leaving me feel retarded.

Such cigar shops arent available in Singapore!!! (I think)

Shopping under the fake blue sky.

Beanie Bear again.

Comfy comfy comfy comfy comfy comfy comfy comfy. :D

Goodbye bed!

Goodbye lobby!

Goodbye coach!

Started our journey at 3pm and reach home at 9:30pm. This is one of the shots taken on the bus on our way home.

Goodbye Malaysia.

Welcome back Singapore.
