FINALLY!

It's my off day today!

OHHH.. WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD...

3 more working days in Ibis Hotel!
I can't wait for this attachment to end. My colleagues there are generally nice and some of them are awesome. By the end of this month, it will be 5 month of attachment endured!

1 more month to go. I heard from Yihui and Mastura that Housekeeping at Grand Mercure is pleasant and fun :) AWESOME! Pray hard I will just answer phone calls and check VIP rooms.

After my attachment, it will be holidays!! I've applied for Relief Teaching in Primary schools and is being accepted by MOE. Huats!

After one semester of working in the hotel line, schooling life is really enjoyable.

After this attachment, I have experienced the real working world and in order to succeed, you have to SUCK UP to almost everyone. When everyone loves you, you get good impression and hurray, you've 'won'. Well, I haven't master the art of SUCKING UP. But I'm sure SOMEONE does. Someone I know. Someone you MIGHT know. I just feel like strangling this person and slap this person and scream at his/her face whenever this SOMEONE sucks up. Ew.

But I would rather not be that "successful" but work hard and bond with my collleagues sincerely. Instead of sucking up everyone's asses.

Anyway, I've left my phone on BUS the one Sunday morning and when I tried calling it 5 mins later, the phone was switched off. :(
The majority of the passenger are bangalas. and I find it funny when my friend told me "I'm going to kill any bangala holding an omnia!"

10 July 2009

It's a day to go ORGANIC and VEGETARIAN (just for the fun of it) and we had our dinner at Green Room Cafe in Bishan Park.

We chose this table beside this big glass overlooking the greenery and I felt very calm and relaxed..

The tables there are very spaced out and PRIVACY is obtained :)
There's even trees inside the air conditioned cafe with high ceiling...

Here's my don't know what pie. The food is fair. Can be better.

It's vegetarian afterall. I can't expect much though.

Not recommended for a meal but maybe I shall return for the desserts one day.

and, I FEEL DAMN HEALTHY AFTER THAT MEAL!

He surprised me at the hotel lobby 15 mins before my work ends and I was so shocked I mouthed to him, "Fuck you!". Pardon my "German".

We headed to Kovan to eat Sharks Fins (which he claimed was genuine but I think it's half genuine.)

Durian season is over but there's stil durians EVERYWHERE!

So we dropped by and grab a packet. :D

It's my second PRAWNING experience!

The first one at Bottle Tree Yishun was awful.

WHY?

Crowded,
pathetically small pond,
cow dung diffuses the air,
number of fishing rods almost outnumbered the number of prawns in the pond.

Then we headed to Sin Ming Prawn Fishing few days later and I caught my first prawn!!!!

Very small prawn but I'm full of satisfaction.

There were a few times I caught the prawns without any supervision!

There were 4 big ponds and ambience is relaxing..Cost cheaper than the Yishun one too!

Caught 12 prawns in total and they provide a place for you to BBQ. But Gab and his friend didn't eat any prawns and I ate 6 of them. The prawns taste awful because there weren't any seasoning but just some salt.

It was a pleasant experience though :)

It's recession now and we should eat out less to save money and stay healthy.

So, Gab prepared Chicken Asparagus Linguine for dinner~~!

Of course I helped him out with the chopping and washing.

Recap of my last few days in Novotel.

My favorite department in Novotel: Premier Lounge. (A place for guests who pay more to deserve these benefits)

That's my favorite pastime: sitting down on the sofa and folding napkins while enjoying the Clarke Quay and Marina View.

It was few days before our last day of work and we 5 trainees from NYP had "LUNCH WITH GM". But GM was having lunch with the new GM and we had lunch with the HR manager, Front Office Manager, F&B Manager and Resident Manager of Novotel :)

Our first time dining at square and served by colleagues! It was a stressful lunch. More stressful then a lunch with a hottie.

I have to admit the food is Novotel is awesome. Try the Durian Paste! OMG!

Last day at Telephone Operator Room. I really enjoyed my 2 weeks of attachment at Telephone Op. It's like a paid vacation! Here's Florence!

After typhoid jab at UE square, we dropped by Novotel and visited Vijay and Sulaiman (Bellman)!! :D

HEY PEEPS.

Life is tough for me. (Except for whatever happens after work)

I'm no longer in Novotel as I have completed her 4 mths attachment in Novotel and is being transferred to another hotel's restaurant for 1 month. (SUCKS!)

10 hours of F&B a day really kills me. Sometimes I feel like crying. It takes me 2 weeks to adapt to new working environment. It seems like I felt like crying in all my new jobs except for office jobs which I adore most. :D Even in the same hotel and different department, it takes me some time to get used to it.

Luckily it's only 1 month in F&B. I can't believe some people can work in F&B frontline as a full time job. It's too much for me. Monotonous and wears me out. It totally sucked my energy accumulated during my Premier Lounge days in Novotel.
I like it a lot at Premier Lounge.
Nice scenery,
nice music,
nice ambience,
good food to kapo,
good colleagues,
good job scope,
good chair,
good timings.

I just hope this attachment will end quickly. I feel like crying when I thought of some people at work. ARGH. FUCK.

My PEM said my school will resume on 2 Nov. HURRAY! TWO MONTHS HOLIDAY! and MOE has accepted my application!
